Fay’s simple Autumn stamping!
So…my first project for Angela Poole! Very exciting and a massive honour. I hope this card shows just how effective keeping things simple can be.
Firstly, I used the Magic Windows Slide & Reveal die set to cut out the main images from the Christmas Wonderland and Winter Days stamp sets. Both images were coloured using just two colours of brush pens.
I inked around the edges of the reindeer image with Distress Oxide Gathered Twigs, and once I had constructed the Magic Window, I flicked the whole image with watered-down white acrylic paint. This gives a lovely textured snow effect!
I then layered the Magic Window onto white card stock, which I inked around the edges with Distress Oxide Candied Apple, and then attached it to craft card. The craft card is also inked around the edges with Distress Oxide Gathered Twigs, and I used the branches from the Winter Days stamp set to help tie in the background with the main image.
I think the colour-ways of this card make it feel very Autumnal. Just using one or two colours can be very effective, and the stamps are so much fun to colour – giving you the option to use so many mediums!
